Dr. Matt Swan is excited to lead the team at Nephi Smiles Family & Pediatric Dentistry! He loves teeth so much he decided to pursue 4 more years of training after dental school. He is a specialist in both Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics.
Dr. Swan is one of the few dual-specialized doctors in all of Utah. He is the FIRST in Utah County!
He grew up in Cottonwood Heights and attended BYU where he majored in History. After completing dental school in San Francisco, his family moved to Rhode Island for specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry.
He had a private practice for a number of years in Utah and decided he loved orthodontics so much that he wanted to be able to offer it to all of his patients.
He packed up his family of 8 and moved across the country again—to Florida this time—where he pursued specialist training in orthodontic treatment! He is trained in all the latest and greatest orthodontic techniques.
Dr. Swan and his family miss the gorgeous beaches and warm, humid days in Florida but they’re very glad to be back to the beautiful scenery that Utah offers.
Dr. Swan loves all sports, especially golf and basketball. He is a connoisseur of good music and is a musician himself. He plays the piano, saxophone, guitar, and is learning to play the drums. He loves to settle down with a good book, but rarely finds time because his family finds plenty of great ways to fill up his time! There is nothing he would rather do more than hang out with his wife, 2 boys, and 5 girls.
Dr. Bryce Yates is excited to be a part of the amazing team at Swan Smiles. Like Dr. Swan, Dr. Yates wants patients to have a great experience at the dentist and receive the best care possible. He is committed to the traditional values of honesty and integrity while providing a modern experience to improve comfort and quality of care.
Dr. Yates was born and raised in Brigham City, Utah. He attended Utah State University and received his Bachelors in Nutrition Science. After graduating he spent four years in the beautiful province of Nova Scotia attending dental school at Dalhousie University. Before coming to Swan Smiles he practiced in Price, Utah. While there he gained more experience with the latest technology in restorative dentistry, dentures, oral sedation, implants, surgery and more. He has had 2 years of experience working with children and treating them in hospital and office settings with the use of general anesthesia. He has spent over 100 hours of continued education learning: full arch reconstruction, implantology, and occlusion and sleep dentistry. He is committed to improving himself to better help his patients. He is currently taking continued education in a wide variety of subjects such as: atraumatic tooth removal, immediate implant placement, the use of autologous growth factors and more.
Bryce and his wife have four kids, two boys and two girls. He loves taking his family on adventures whether they be local or a road trip away. He considers a day spent with his family outside hiking, biking, swimming, or just enjoying a park as a day well spent. He also enjoys playing the piano, watching a good movie and cooking in the kitchen.
Dr. Yates hopes that when you come to the office he can help you feel comfortable in understanding your specific needs and the options available to keep your smile healthy and strong for a lifetime.
Dr. Taylor Swallow grew up in Sandy, Utah with his parents and four sisters. After high school, he served a church mission among the wonderful people of Brasilia, Brazil. They have three beautiful children who are everything to them. Besides dentistry, Dr. Swallow’s interests include woodwork, yard work, fishing and all things outdoors!
